Istrana 10.07.07                             

On the Istrana Air Base there was a Squadron Exchange between the 51st Stormo and the 7th E.L.T./Eskadra Lotnictwa Taktycznego from Powidz (Polond).

We enter in the base around the 10.00 and then we go to the flying line of the 103rd group where in the farest park area there was some AMX, otherwise in the schelter there was the 4 SU-22M-4R. The sounds of 2 AMX and of 3 SU-22 starts after some moments. In particular the SU-22 need just a couple of minutes to get ready for the take off, to start up are the 8205 airplane [1][2][3][4] and the 707, a SU-22UM-3K, and then this is the whole vision that we had. The aircraft moves around the 10.10, the first one is an AMX, the 51-11 [1][2], followed by the SU-22M-4R[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]. After a couple of minutes another AMX appears, the 51-31 [1][2][3] and the two SU-22M-4R, the 7410 [1][2][3] and the 8205 [1][2][3]. Togheter they going to the wainting point for runway 26 [1][2]. Then we ear the engines accelerates, and we observe the aircraft taking off, the first AMX, the SU-22UM-3K special color and then the second couple composed by an AMX[1][2] and the SU-22 8205 [1][2][3]. Sadly the third SU-22 due to a technical problem obort the mission and return to the parking area [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15].

Besides we were waiting the return of the four aircraft others two AMX start up and after some minutes they moved near us, there was the 51-01 [1][2][3][4], the flag ship of the 51st Stormo, and the 51-21 [1][2][3].

At the same time appears the first couple of aircraft, doing a low pass, and the SU-22 with the full AB on [1][2][3]. After the sukhoi landed he arrives at the parking area [1][2][3][4], interesting was that the crewchief disappears inside the SU-22 [5][6]. The AMX , thanks to his major autonomy, makes a couple of approches [1][2]. Later the twinseater sukhoi appears in the final trail[1][2]. Once he landed, he goes to the parking area [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]. When the sukhoi it's in our "power" the AMX 51-31 moves nearus, like the 51-11. After this our visit ends and we exit, but before I take a photo of the present that the French leaves after the long detachment of the Jaguar!!
